Health and Safety

  1. Adhere to all Health & Safety at Work Regulations, site (CDM) regulations and the Company Health & Safety Policy or as directed by the Company including Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks
  2. Undertake Point of Work Risk Assessments when necessary
  3. Ensure you are adequately trained and competent in the work you are undertaking, including specialist training.  Report any shortcomings to your Line Manager
  4. Ensure plant and equipment used to complete your work is safe to use.  Report any defects to your Line Manager.  Do NOT use defective plant or equipment
  5. Report all accidents and near misses to your Line Manager
  6. Ensure you familiarise yourself with site/premises/customer Health & Safety including first aiders, fire wardens and welfare facilities
  7. Promote a safe working environment both within your department and across the Company, especially when representing the Company at a customer’s premises

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Comply with the most up-to-date revision of BS7671 and all relevant Guidance Notes
  2. Complete all tasks to the best of your ability as instructed by the Site Supervisor or Project Manager
  3. Be willing to undertake supervisory role when requested by you Line Manager or the Project Manager
  4. Ensure tasks are completed in a cost and time effective manner while adhering to H&S rules
  5. Conduct yourself in a professional manner, ensuring good communication and maintain good relations with team mates, work colleagues, customers, and other contractors
  6. Ensure good house-keeping practices

 

Other Duties

  1. Ensure your timesheet is completed accurately and given to your Line Manager on the first working day of the following week
  2. When necessary, ensure all documentation is completed accurately and given to your Line Manager along with your Timesheet
  3. Adhere to Company policy when driving a Company Vehicle
  4. When responsible for a Company vehicle, ensure all weekly and monthly checks are completed as necessary
  5. Ensure annual leave is booked in advance with adequate notice given
  6. Take care of and maintain Axon uniform and PPE.  Liaise with your Line Manager if/when replacements are required
  7. Perform any other duties as requested by your Line Manager or a member of the Management team, to the best of your ability
